A little bit about me.

 

 

Hi, my name is Marit Asman  or Maria Gazis (what they call me here in Greece after I married) and I am the owner of this web site.

Born and raised in Holland where I worked and studied as, a maternity ward nurse.
I loved being a nurse and working with babies.

I worked there for several years but then on one summer holiday in Greece I met my husband. Head over heals in love and I moved to Greece.

Now we are married and have two lovely children.

My husband and his family own a hotel and I started working in the hotel business.

Greece is a wonderful country to live in. We live in Lefkada, an Island in the Ionian Sea and our hotel is situated right on the edge of the beach.

The whole family is working very hard in the summer months but the long dreary winter months seemed endless to me. Because everybody lives here of tourism there are not many jobs during the winter months.

It isn’t easy if you work 5 months a year and have to live another seven months of it.

I wanted to make some extra money and I thought the internet was the way to achieve that.

Spending hours on the internet I found a ready made website about parenting. It promised a steady income. All I had to do was promote the website.

At the time it seemed like a good idea but after eight months I still had no more than three or four visitors a day. The only thing I did was waste my money on web directory listings.
